Yesterday i went to a scrapbooking crop after i got off from work. I was determined to be so much more organized and only having to bring the page kits i worked on for the week and a few other things. I brought all that and it was so great to know what i was going to be doing and all.

I worked on pages from 2008 and when Dawn and her family moved. It was fun to see us altogether at Eckerts and again at the house before they left. Makes me think back to all the fun times we had and the one time that Dawn I and lea went to the coffee house and just chatted and talked about just everything. I do miss those days.

I was just amazed at some of the amounts of food some were eating. They had served pasta and it was to serve 100 people and they had run out what we all think is a serving really is not.

I brought my own food as I did not think i was going to want what they were serving.

Happy News

My niece called me yesterday telling me the doctor called and told her that she is cancer free!!! I was excited for her and told her that it was great. She then told me I had the biopsy for nothing then. I told her if you had not had it then you would always wonder and this way you know for sure that it is not cancer. She agreed then and can now relax. she was really upbeat during the whole thing though and that made me realize she is stronger than I give her credit for and how she sure has matured in the last few years.

Time to Travel

this is what i will be doing in about a month. I am excited though I am flying to Nebraska to go and see my family and the twins. They will be about 3 months old when i go. I got a great sale on the tickets. I paid 124.00 for the trip and that includes any taxes or anything. I know i just saw my family but really want to go and see the twins and will also see Jessica while I am there. At times i think about how it would be so nice to be closer to family.

Too cold!!!!

I got up this morning and looked at the thermometer that Keah got for christmas that can tell you how cold it is inside and outside. outside it read 0!!! That was without the windchill too. inside was a bit warmer of 65 so i turned up the heat and decided today is an inside day as i am too much of a wimp to want to go outside just for the fun of it. So far i have stayed inside and have not gone out for anything. Too bad we do have an event to go to later. hmmm maybe it will be too cold and can stay home!!! Wishful thinking i know. I was talking to Ben about the cold and he said oh I must of forgotten to pay the heating bill for the outside. I told him to get right on that and he said he would have a talk with the man upstairs i said well hope you can do that really quick as i am too cold for it to stay cold. I guess he did not get around to arranging that yet as it is too cold still. LOL
I guess we live in the wrong place I think I need to find a place with warmer winters and cooler summer and not much humidity guess i should look and find that perfect spot so when i retire can move there.

blogging and training

I better not train that way though.....

This year I wanted to blog more am trying to do it every day. I had been reading on Becky Higgins blog and she has this file you could buy and do a picture or something every day and I had looked at it thinking I would buy it but for one it seemed expensive and then they sold out of it so my thoughts on that is to do some sort of blogging to keep up with things and then maybe i would like to print it out and put it in a book and I would then have a journal and it would be a fun way to do it. I so far am doing better blogging but still want to work on doing it a bit more.





I recently have had the thought to really get more in shape to find a walk/run and try to run part of it not sure i can run all of it but am willing to even try to run any of it is kind of a miracle as i have never been a runner and since i am more in shape now than i really have been in my whole life. At times i have to think back and remember how out of shape i was a few years ago.


I am going to do some research and see what i should be doing to do some training if any of you have any ideas send them my way.

Babies

Today I went over and helped a friend with her babies while she took her son to school and then to the grocery store. It was fun to feed them and rock with them and just be able to help someone out.
I enjoyed the babies and all the sounds and noises they made and to watch their faces and to see them smile it is quite fun. No way do I want any of my own at this point but to go help someone out I can do that.
As someone told me it is so fun doing a fun thing as it dont seem really like you are doing much for them but if you think later you can see all the help you really do in time.

Friends

I was thinking about all the friends I have had over the years and how each of them have made an impression on my life and how grateful I am to have had them. Yes some come and go and others will stay forever or just others you have never met but realize how much you care about them. Each of them in their own way impacted my life for good. In the military it has come to be an important part of my life making all these friends and letting them into my life. As hard as it is at times to say goodbye to them or something they all mean a good deal to me.
In past years though I have also met some really great friends online with scrapbooking and also with weight watchers and the friends i have met doing that are great people too and they have come to mean a lot to me and I enjoy getting to know them and what they believe and what things we have in common. It is nice to have all these friends and to vent to them about things and share happy moments with them too.

I am just pondering and am grateful for to think back to all those people I have met and how they helped me along the way when I was needing a friend or support or just a laugh here and there. Thank you to all my friends and to those that just come across this and read it.

Goals for the new year

I do not normally make new years resolutions as I do not keep them.
This year though i wanted to work on a few things and improve on others
too.

I want to stay physically healthy and to where i should with weight watchers.
doing that I need to still exercise and find good wholesome foods to eat. I want
to venture out and try new foods so I will not get so bored with what I am eating.
I also want to try other exercise things out so i do not get bored with what I am
doing with exercise too.

Mentally I want to read the scriptures on a more daily basis and to find good books
to learn more from and to find the time to do this and not get caught up with online
things so much.

I also want to realize and focus more on my family here. Not worry so much about
what my family in nebraska does or does not do to let go of some of that worry. some
of it is good but some of it makes it so that i get upset and then other things tend to
backfire. I want to plan family trips with the 4 of us more even if just day trips.

well those are a few of my goals so now that they are written maybe i will do them
and stick with it more.
