seems like i go from one extreme to the other where i will blog for a bit and then i just forget to do it and then when i do i do not have much to say or it is not such good news it seems.
I guess that is all part of life and have to put the bad with the good too i guess.
Ben has been in Colorado this week and his dad has been in the hospital all week. They are now
trying to figure out where to move him. He is not able to go back to the assisted living place right now until he gets better but he does not qualify for the hospice either. they have found a place that will try to get him stronger but not work him too hard. He has Aneurysms and has had them for a few years and until now has been able to do things without too much trouble. now he is getting weaker and he has had some minor strokes. This morning his sister got a phone call and said that his dad had a minor heart attack so not sure what is going on now yet. I am just praying that things do not get too difficult for him.
hope the next time i blog it will be on a much happier note

finally feeling a bit better
I have been sick and under the weather for over a week now and finally am feeling better.
I hate that when you are sick though that it takes forver to get over it and then it takes even
longer to get back into your routine. I exercised the other day but only a small portion of what i normally do and then it seemed like i was so tired. hopefully this next week i will get back into a routine again and feel better.
Ben is off to colorado to go and visit his dad next week. He has not been feeling good so he bought a plane ticket and will go out there and see him and his mom and sisters. it will be good and maybe he will see exactly how things really are going instead of just hearing from his mom how he is doing.
I am having the itch today to get something creative done. I have things sitting around and waiting to get done but then I get lazy or sick and do not feel up to doing much. I am taking it easy the next few days just to make sure that i get over what i have and not have a relapse of things. the cough is still here but other than that i do not have much of what i had.

valentines day
Earlier in the week Ben and I had been talking about valentines day and he asked me if i had wanted any flowers I said no I love flowers but hate the price you pay for them on valentines day. He said well how about candy or jewelry I said no to both as i really do not want candy and the jewelry i do not really wear enough to buy. He said how about a poem. I said I would love one as he is a great poet and when he writes things it comes from the heart.
Ben was talking to Michelle and she said to him Dad do you not realize when a woman says no they really mean yes. He laughed and said well I guess this time I listened and if I am wrong that is not my problem. She is too funny but i really did not want the flowers or jewelry or candy.
I had good intentions of doing things for them but ended up sick so did a modified thing for them and got them each a small something of what they love. They all loved it so it all was good.
here is the poem ben wrote. He had it put to pictures and all but i am just putting the words to this. After all these years he still loves me and I love him. I think we make a good match and balance each other out.
I was still sick so we stayed home for dinner he tells me not to tell anyone what he bought me for dinner as it would seem like a cheap date. He is funny I said I would rather not spend money but time and thoughts and love together.
Oh What Would I Do?
Oh what would I do, without you?
I make the money to pay the bills,
But you are the one that pays them.
I wash the dishes once in a while,
But you are the one that fills them.
I fix the cars, or call a mechanic,
But you are the one that drives them.
I mow the lawn and trim the walks,
But you fill the garden with flowers.
You are the one
That cleans the house,
From top to bottom,
Inside and out,
In all the corners,
And under the mats,
And wipes up the crumbs
So we don't get rats--
Or other creepy, crawly things,
Wriggling in the flour,
Or under the sink.
You're a logistical manager
Chief Financial Officer
Accountant, a Foreman, and Dean,
You keep the house ship-shape,
Direct all the traffic,
And keep us all trim, light and lean.
You're my lover and friend
On whom I can depend
You support me through every trial
If I didn't have you
All the sunshine would end
And I'd have no more reason to smile.
Oh what would I do, without you?
My computer knowledge
Was once quite extensive,
And I thought I was once pretty smart,
But then I came home
From Korea and found
That your skills had surpassed mine, my heart.
You do all my taxes,
And make the computer
Do wonderful, magical things.
I thought I knew something
But now I do not
For you're running around me in rings.
You’re a wife and a mother,
A soft, tender cuddler,
A nurturing soul to the end.
Your hand holding mine.
Has emboldened my heart--
My love to none else I pretend.
I'll love you forever
My miracle maker
Who makes all the magic things--
My happiness, joy
My children, and after
All the wonderful things
We will share together.
Oh what would I do
Without you in my life?
Well pretty much not much, I think.
My life would be empty
Without you to fill it--
My purpose in life would be blank.
But with you I do more
Than I could on my own,
And I have only you to thank!
Happy Valentine's Day Sheryl!

New picture and happy day
Last week I went to see about shopping for some new sweaters as it is so cold here
and having to work I wanted some new ones. I went to a few stores and just not liking
what i was seeing so did not buy anything while i was out. I thought i would try another
few stores but never made it. So i went into Michelles closet and thought maybe she has
some sweaters i could borrow as i am getting smaller and she has some sweaters in there
she never wears. I went and found one i liked it was similar to this one and so I tried it on
and it fit and it looked nice. so i wore it to work and got some nice compliments. I then told
her I borrowed her sweater and she said well you can have the other one too. She said she
does not wear these that i liked. They are a little big on her and she does not wear a lot of
sweaters but does sweatshirts instead. I was just amazed I could actually fit into any of her
sweaters or anything as she is not overweight and is small on her top really. Made my day
when i could fit into something of hers even if they are a little big on her.

saturday

Yesterday i went to a scrapbooking crop after i got off from work. I was determined to be so much more organized and only having to bring the page kits i worked on for the week and a few other things. I brought all that and it was so great to know what i was going to be doing and all.
I worked on pages from 2008 and when Dawn and her family moved. It was fun to see us altogether at Eckerts and again at the house before they left. Makes me think back to all the fun times we had and the one time that Dawn I and lea went to the coffee house and just chatted and talked about just everything. I do miss those days.
I was just amazed at some of the amounts of food some were eating. They had served pasta and it was to serve 100 people and they had run out what we all think is a serving really is not.
I brought my own food as I did not think i was going to want what they were serving.

Happy News
My niece called me yesterday telling me the doctor called and told her that she is cancer free!!! I was excited for her and told her that it was great. She then told me I had the biopsy for nothing then. I told her if you had not had it then you would always wonder and this way you know for sure that it is not cancer. She agreed then and can now relax. she was really upbeat during the whole thing though and that made me realize she is stronger than I give her credit for and how she sure has matured in the last few years.
